(1) In relation to other substances to be imported into Nepal, except drugs whose standards are determined according to the Medicines Act, 2035, the government of Nepal shall publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette for the health and safety of the general public, and such substances shall be prescribed by the Council. It can be specified that it should be of quality.
(2) In relation to any substance exported from Nepal, if the Government of Nepal deems it necessary for the promotion of international trade, it may publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette and specify that such substance must be of the quality specified by the Council.
